Peat’s Thoughts: So let’s say this was long overdue. I’ve been avoiding this for some time now. Pappy, this is not. It’s young, but with all the hype surrounding it (because it has Van Winkle in its name) you would swear it has the complexity of a 23 year old (which some folks believe is a gift from the gods themselves). I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m just saying it’s overrated. Some may think that’s blasphemous, but hey, I’ll stick to my Bookers, or hell, even Old Weller. Shrug.
