Peat’s Thoughts: Welp! Aged 16 years? Cask strength at 55.2%? Lovely, bright, golden colour? Oh boy! You get that tastes of oranges as your first sip it which instantly implies that you are in for a treat. The citrus feel doesn’t diminish any of the power behind the beauty though. It still packs a punch, just a beautiful one. The finish is surprisingly dry though, despite its velvety feel on the palate, which I acknowledge sounds very contradictory, but hey, I call it like I taste it. Perhaps it’s that powerful alcohol that just evaporates in my mouth. I dunno. Shrug. Some medicinal notes on the back end as I allow the flavours to settle in. followed quickly by that familiarly sweet fruitiness. I like this here. That I do.
Cheers.
