Peat’s Thoughts: Ok, where to begin? Since this was endorsed by David Beckham, I decided to give it a try, despite the warnings from some folks whose palates I trust. I should’ve listened, because Beckham also endorses Calvin Klein underwear and I never felt the need to purchase those. Anyway, on the nose I swore I got a distinct citrus note, maybe lemon peel? I dunno. The taste though was bit more pleasant than the smell, but very light nonetheless. Not refreshing like a Tincup, but just… there. Dropped in an ice cube and… nothing. A whiff of a fruity taste maybe, but honestly I couldn’t quite put my finger (tongue?) on it. Overall, mediocre scotch in an amazing bottle, but then again, their targeted market isn’t whisky lovers anyway, so, yeah. Don’t think I’ll ever order it again, though it would make for a cool item piece in my home bar.
Cheers.
